While the decision on my attire for the big day has been made, the same cannot be said for the bridesmaids. I'm a firm believer that less is more which is why I love the look of simple, clean cut, short black dresses. They are flattering, understated and really, it's hard to go wrong with such a classic look. I think that paired with bright yellow flowers and some fun shoes, my girls will look great! Here are a few of my favorites.

Everyone looks great in a little black dress!
ReplyDeleteI did little black dresses for my bridesmaids too, I think it's a great way to go. I picked the fabric at J Crew, and then let them choose which style worked best for them, I loved the look of the different dresses!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I think I've narrowed it down to the first two (Jenny Yoo and J.Crew). I love that the Piper has straps which would add a little diversity since my dress is strapless. It also has pockets - perfect for a lipgloss/camera/hair pin!
ReplyDeleteWho can say no to a J.Crew silk taffeta? It'll be a classic for years to come.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments and for adding me to your link list! :)
I love them all!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you - black would look very timeless for bridesmaids dresses! Really can't go wrong with it - it flatters just about any complexion/figure/hair color.
