bushy brows.

I was born with thick, dark, huge, eyebrows. I do not use the term huge lightly. They looked like two mustaches had jumped off of a mans upper lip and landed smack above my eyes. Growing up, I hated them. They were "manly" and needed serious taming. Now that I've trimmed, and plucked, and waxed them away I want them back. Don't get me wrong, I still have thick, dark, sizable brows, but they are nothing like their original splendor.

Well, I'm trying to grow them back in, and let me tell you, its not an easy or pretty thing to do. Every little hair sticks out like a sore thumb begging to be removed. I'm using the below images as inspiration. Every time I want to reach for the tweezers, I'll look at these beautiful women with their beautiful brows. I'm hoping that after a month or so of being untouched, they will be ready for a professional to clean and shape them into perfection. Such a silly thing isn't it? That we groom our eyebrows?

Anyway... a question for my lovely readers.
What is your method of upkeep?
Tweezing? Waxing? Threading?
Do you have thin brows you wish would grow in?
Thick brows with a mind of their own?
Do tell.

  2. Well, I mean, I have a UNIBROW...so yea. Let's talk about it. I tweeze those mofos every day because if I don't, I'll quickly have one eyebrow.

  3. I have caterpillars for eyebrows hahaha I used to wax them, but now that I'm a cheap student I just pluck them myself.

  4. I was born blessed with a massive unibrown, so trust me, I can relate. I wax them and tweeze in between.

  5. Haha I am the exact same way, I would cry to my mom and call them caterpillars. Embrace those bushy brows! I get them threaded which I loooove!

  6. I have pretty sensitive skin (which waxing burns) so I get sugared every month or so to maintain the shape and I pluck stray hairs in between appointments. Hang in there! The growing process with any hair is difficult. Growing out bangs anyone?!

  7. I wax and tweeze. The threading thing kind of freaks me out but I've heard it's amazing.

  8. I just tweeze. I have always wanted to thread but am too impatient to let it grow out. My eye brows are very long.

  10. Ah! I want mine to grow out as well, but it's so hard! I typically get them tweezed because waxing leaves me looking like I got smacked in the face.

  11. I wax. I had the same bushy ones that you did. Went through a similar experience and am trying to keep them a little thicker. Shaped, mind you, but I like the look. Sort of sexy.

  12. I wish I could grow mine out! Mine are naturally sparse and thin, and I have to fill them out every morning to look normal.

  13. I have pretty thick eyebrows... I've done all three of those methods, but these days I'm just tweezing (and probably not enough!) I used to get my eyebrows waxed as a young teenager, but I used to break out really bad because of it. Gross. I got my eyebrows threaded before my college graduation and my wedding and I would totally recommend it!

  14. I'm in the same situation and recently I started getting my eyebrows waxed with a new person who is one of the best in Dallas and she told me to buy a product called Neuveau Brow that is sold at Neiman Marcus, and it's suposed to help your eyebrows grow faster and look fuller. I just started using so I can't really tell yet if it's working, but you can check it out :)
