suiting up

I don't know if it's the warmer weather, the fact that we are nearing spring, or my upcoming honeymoon, but I can not stop scooping out all of the gorgeous bathing suits that have recently been introduced with Spring/Summer collections. I only own bikinis. I have never even looked twice at a one piece bathing suit, but this year I feel like I need one. I used to think they were so matronly looking ... far from youthful, but now I'm seeing them in a different light. They are so romantic and leave a bit to the imagination (wink wink). I have a feeling most men (yt included) would probably take my old stance on these suits, but what to they know!? I am in love.

Are you a bikini girl?
Or a fan of the one piece look?
Or do you mix and match?

  1. Ooh these one piece suits are cute. I don't have a one piece either but lately I've been thinking of getting one. I love the first and second one in that photo.

  2. I love one pieces but I can't wear them because of my freakishly long torso. Just another check for me in the "freak" category. Le sigh.

  3. I'm a one piece girl, just bcause they're more flattering for me and make me feel more comfortable, but I've always had trouble finding cute ones at my right price points. But sometimes the right suit is worth splurging! I'm a fan of all of those!

  6. I've been craving a one piece too! They're super cute. I'm just making myself wait because there will be a day at some point long in the future where I won't be able to wear bikinis so I'm trying to enjoy them while I can!

  8. I totally agree...I thought that one pieces were kind of mom-ish, but I am loving some of the cute retro ones I've been seeing this year, and I love all the ones that you posted! I'm thinking I just might have to get one too...even though there is still tons of snow on the ground in Tahoe :)

  10. I used to be a bikini girl until, ahem, I gained a few pounds during my time living in New York. I still own my bikinis, but I was actually JUST pondering a beach day on Saturday (80 degrees forecasted!) and I was wishing I had a beautiful one piece that I would feel more confident in. #7 is my fave of the ones in the photos!

  11. I agree, I used to think one pieces were matronly but I am loving all the ones I see lately!! I'm still a bikini girl though - I wonder if the one pieces hit crazy high up on the thigh (if that makes sense at all?) I had to wear one when I a camp counselor in my younger years and it was so unflattering even at 14. I'm sure now they are cut much better!

  12. I am a total bikini girl, but love the allure a one-piece can create. I've been loving anthro's suits the past two years!

  13. I also am obsessed with one pieces, though I haven't worn one since I was little. I actually posted about this one from Anthro last year: http://sixtwelveplace.blogspot.com/2011/05/one-piece.html...of course I never bought it, but really wishing I had. Maybe this year, I'll finally do it?? And the first one is ADORABLE! It would look great on you because of your tan complexion!
