I'm sad to say that I do not own a maxi skirt. I own nothing of the maxi length - no skirt, no dress, no gown. It's seriously a shame because I love the look, and whenever I see others sporting one of these lengthy numbers, I tend to have outfit envy. I believe it's about time that I invest in one, don't you?
I'm drawn to the soft jersey fabric, basically because they are like the skirt version of sweatpants. It can be dressed up, or down, and can really last in a closet through most seasonal changes. In terms of color, I'm thinking black, a bright color, or a nice neutral stripe - so basically I've made no decision here.
I think it's a investment worthy piece of clothing. Now which piece to invest in is the question...

I just bought my first maxi dress a few weeks ago - don't know why I waited so long to take the plunge!
ReplyDeleteOf course this is no surprise given my Tibi addiction, but I'd go with the Tibi number. The color is perfect for summer and can easily be paired with a white tank for a more casual look or a sequined top for a night out.

ReplyDeleteOooh - these are all gorgeous. The Tibi is my favorite... but it's a tough decision! I'd probably choose a less expensive style just because I'm not sure how long the trend will last.

ReplyDeleteI just got a dress about a month ago from old navy, I opted for the cheap. But I love it! I'm definitely on the bandwagon. Those options though are all gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteAll adorable choices! I recently bought a maxi skirt on sale at J. Crew and have a maxi dress from there as well. Both are the jersey material and are beyond soft! Old Navy also has adorable ones if you want to do multiples as opposed to investing in one! Definitely share which one you buy!
ReplyDeleteI love them on others, and eventually convince myself that I need one, but then I try them on and I just feel like a giant pouch or parachute. Hopefully I'll get over it before they go out of style!
