Yes, that's right. Drink up.
One of my favorite summer drinks {or really any time of the year} is a nice big glass of sangria. While the sweet and slightly tangy liquid sure is delicious, my favorite part is biting into the liquor soaked fruit... because, well it's liquor soaked fruit.
One of the items on my summer bucket list was to make a batch of sangria, and I think that's just what I'll be doing this weekend.
So here is where I turn to you, friends. What's your go to recipe for sangria? Do you go with white or red? Add in a bit of champagne or brandy? Is your fruit of choice peaches, apples, berries, or citrus ? I'm not sure what will wind up in my sangria jar yet.

I've never made it before, but I do love the red with cherries! Yum! The white has always looked so appealing to me too though!
ReplyDeleteyum love sangria, but only if it's not too sweet! i don't have a recipe, but i know zed451 puts cinnamon in theirs and it's delicious!
ReplyDeleteSangria is one thing I have not yet made either. Since it's summer, I say go with a white. Can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
ReplyDeleteWoah, woah, white sangria with apple and mint? I need this in my life.
ReplyDeleteRed all the way! I'm not terribly picky when it comes to sangria - just put some fruit in there and I'll drink it up. Although, that white sangria above with the apple and mint looks super refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI always feel super good about drinking sangira - if it has fruit in it it must be healthy! ;)
ReplyDeleteI really love champagne sangria! We had it in Spain and have been hooked since, but if we're looking for a bargain I'm all about just plain simple red sangria! You really can't go wrong with it by adding some fruit!
